v7.9 [Nov 16, 2015]
List View
When Enhanced Document Level Security (EDLS) is enabled on on-premises servers, folders and
documents with unique permissions assigned are now visually identifiable via its List View icon.
Newly created folders are sorted in List View according to the current List View sort order without first
requiring a manual refresh.
The Enable Sticky Views setting is ignored when inserting attachments in Outlook so that by default
all document types are available for selection.
Predictive Email Filing
Resolved an issue with existing Predictive Email Filing tags being ignored and a second tag assigned
on emails with subject lines of a specific length.
Tracking Tags are no longer added to the filename when saving emails to SharePoint. This ensures
duplicates are recognised when multiple users with PEF enabled save the same email to the same
location in SharePoint.
Tracking tags are now stored in a separate mvTrackingTag column in the Emails view.
Other
Users Recents, Favourite, Searches and other personal configuration files are now automatically
backed up every 24 hours so these can easily be restored if required.
Performance improvements have been made to the FilllnEmailAddressFields option which determines
if sender and recipient (From, To, CC, BCC) full email address or resolved names are recorded in
profile information when saving emails to DMF.
Resolved a conflict between Acrobat and DMF which prevented Adobe Acrobat XI from starting with
DMF 7.9 April release installed.
Resolved an issue with use of Save As to SharePoint in Excel, which was preventing the prompt to
save changes in some instances where two or more Excel files were open at the same time.
Resolved and issue with saving PDF attachments which resulted in the PDF being unreadable in some
instances.
Resolved an issue with renaming attachments when using the Save Attachments ribbon option.
Improved handling of numeric separator characters for Spanish regional settings.
Resolved an issue with the UseOriginalFileNameForlnsertAttachment setting not applying when
inserting attachments in Outlook.
Restored functionality to allow the dmf protocol handler to open links that point to locations (e.g.
libraries and folders) as well as to documents.
